Growth is Key

It’s human nature to take things for granted. When our work lives are going well and the stress levels are low, we tend not to push ourselves to grow. Once things get stressful, that’s when most folks tend to grab for any quick fix. Last year, our market was predominately a refinance market. Many loan officers were only working with refinance clients and ignoring real estate agents. That all changed when summer came and rates rose somewhat.

The drive to make my life easier started the day I pulled a wagon full of newspapers. My birth year of 1966 placed me with the distinction of the name Generation X or Gen X’er (1965-1980). Like many Gen X kids, I had both parents working outside the house. With both of my parents working, I had lots of after school free time while stuck inside the house and not much spending money. In my mind, money equaled independence. My independence began the day I found my first job.
