Designed for those with no mortgage experience, this course provides a foundation in mortgage professionalism. It covers the loan process, borrower qualification, TRID and appraisals, and offers hands-on experience with the technology used in originating and processing loans. You’ll learn best practices from UWM and industry veterans — they’ll walk you through the life of a loan, income identification and calculation, assets, credit review, mortgage application completion and compliance basics. This advanced 2-day class will cover best practices on how to calculate multiple sources of self-employed income, including Schedule C, 1120-S, 1065 and 1120 businesses.

VA Path

2-Day VA

Designed to give participants who’ve closed 0–30 loans a solid foundation in the VA mortgage process, this training covers key aspects such as navigating the VA handbook, VA-specific eligibility, guidelines surrounding the 1% rule, funding fee requirements and credit reports. Plus, if you haven’t yet signed up to do business with the VA, we’ll do that in class, then show you how to manage a VA loan in UWM's system from start to finish.

2-Day Advanced VA
Prerequisite: 2-Day VA

This class is designed for those with basic VA loan knowledge who’ve closed 31–50 loans. It delves into advanced topics, including reapplying for VA sponsorships, understanding IRRRLs and cash-outs, seasoning requirements, net tangible benefit, recoupment and pest inspections. You’ll also participate in roundtable discussions covering best practices for success in varying market conditions and scenarios.

2-Day Expert VA
Prerequisite: 2-Day Advanced VA

Aimed at experienced mortgage professionals who’ve closed 51+ loans, this class provides an in-depth understanding of VA lending and market-opportunity leverage. It covers special eligibility, surviving spouses, military communities, alternatives to VA cash-out transactions and income-type calculations per VA guidelines. You’ll handle real-life scenarios like submitting change of circumstances and using UWM tools, giving you the confidence to provide a great experience for your VA borrowers.

FHA Path

2-Day FHA

Designed to give participants who’ve closed 0–30 loans a solid foundation in the FHA mortgage process, this training covers key aspects such as the 4000.1 Handbook, HUD-specific disclosures, loan limits, asset statement reviews and credit report guidelines. You’ll learn to navigate FHA Connection, order FHA case numbers and manage an FHA loan in UWM's system from start to finish, ensuring a well-rounded grasp of FHA loans.

2-Day Advanced FHA
Prerequisite: 2-Day FHA

This class, designed for those with basic FHA loan knowledge and who’ve closed 31–50 loans, delves into advanced topics. It covers AUS error resolution, use of BOLT for FHA pre-approvals and efficient loan submissions. You’ll handle real-life scenarios such as purchase agreement requirements, appraisal specifics and large deposit guidelines, while also mastering FHA Streamline structure and best practices.

Prerequisite: 2-Day Advanced FHA

Aimed at experienced mortgage professionals who’ve closed 51+ loans, this class provides an in-depth understanding of FHA lending and market-opportunity leverage. It covers property-specific scenarios, income-type calculations per FHA guidelines, business deal identification through UWM's Insights and market trend research. You’ll engage in roundtable discussions sharing best practices for success in varying market conditions, giving you the confidence to take on any FHA loan.

Closing Path

2-Day Closing

This 2-Day class will cover best practices for how to efficiently use UClose 3.0, including understanding applicable fees, solving hard stops and communicating with Title.

2-Day Advanced Closing

Designed for those who have closed between 31–50 loans, this course focuses on mastering hard stops in the closing process while teaching high-cost tests and their resolutions, calculation of initial escrow deposits, and aggregate adjustments. It also covers the assessment of down-payment fulfillment, understanding and calculating principal reduction, and resolving VA files that fail the 1% and recoupment test. You’ll leave with the confidence and the ability to handle any closing scenario that comes your way.

2-Day Expert Closing

Designed for those who have closed 51+ loans, this class covers vesting verbiage, spousal rights, and the times a non-borrower needs to sign at closing. You’ll leave with an understanding of the impact that hybrid and virtual closings have on the experiences of clients, brokers, title agents and borrowers. 2-Day Refinance Business

For participants who’ve closed 0–30 loans, this course provides the skills to navigate the refinance market and structure refinances within the UWM system. You’ll learn loan structuring, LTV equity positions, PMI removal scenarios, AUS reviews and refi-specific LLPA application. It touches on discount points and how to identify net tangible benefits in diverse loan scenarios — all to provide key refinance insights to grow your business and client base.

Aimed at those with 31–50 loans under their belt, this course provides hands-on experience in leveraging technology for pipeline development. Designed for seasoned mortgage professionals with 51 or more loans, this course provides a deeper understanding of refinancing.
