Since UWM initially services every loan we close, every UWM borrower will now have the choice to use Bilt to pay their mortgage. That means we control the mortgage process from submission to well after the loan closes, giving borrowers a better experience that puts you, their broker, front and center while rewarding them with Bilt Points every time they make an on-time digital payment.
Previously only for renters, Bilt is a first-of-its-kind loyalty platform that rewards borrowers for making their on-time digital mortgage payments through Bilt. Borrowers receive valuable points that can be redeemed for savings on dining, groceries, pharmacies, travel and more — all right in their own community. They can even use Bilt points towards principal-only mortgage payments and to manage their loan and track their payments.
UWM has partnered with Bilt to offer homebuyers a first-of-its kind mortgage rewards program. Bilt is more than just a servicing platform. It’s a rewards program designed to make your borrowers’ mortgage payments work harder for them. By paying their mortgage on-time and digitally through Bilt, they’ll not only enjoy a secure and convenient way to manage their payments but they’ll also earn Bilt points. These points can be redeemed for travel, fitness, shopping or toward your principal-only mortgage payments.
UWM and Bilt have partnered together to bring your borrowers something new: rewards for paying their mortgage on-time and digitally through Bilt. Their loan is with UWM, but by making payments through Bilt, they can earn points that can be redeemed for travel, shopping, fitness and more.
There are no fees to use Bilt; however, the payment method your borrower selects may result in additional charges. There are no extra fees for recurring or one-time ACH payments (directly withdrawn from their bank account) made through Bilt, or when they pay with a Bilt credit card. Additional fees will apply for payments made with a Mastercard credit card or a Mastercard or Visa debit card.

In order for borrowers to access their loan information and mortgage documents, they must register with Bilt, regardless of whether they want to set up payments. Registration is quick and easy, and it is the only way to view their loan details and documents. Once registered, they can also make digital one-time payments and set up recurring mortgage payments. Additionally, they can earn rewards for on-time digital payments made through bilt.com/uwm or the Bilt app. If they choose not to register with Bilt, they will still be able to make payments via check or over the phone, but they will not have digital access to their loan information or mortgage documents, and these payment methods will not earn rewards.
All borrowers that have received a notification indicating their loan is now on the Bilt servicing platform can register and access their loan in Bilt. However, only the Bilt account that has payments set up can earn and redeem rewards for on-time digital payments.
Any loan that has received a notification indicating it is now on the Bilt servicing platform will be automatically added to their account once they register and access their loan with Bilt. If they have a loan that is still on the former UWM servicing platform, they will need to continue making payments and accessing documents through that platform until they receive a notification that their loan has been transitioned to Bilt. Only loans on the Bilt platform that are set up with on-time digital payments are eligible to earn rewards.
To digitally access loan information and mortgage documents, your borrower must register with Bilt, regardless of whether they want to set up digital payments through Bilt. They can make their mortgage payments by mailing a check or calling in, however, please note that they will not earn points for these payments. Only on-time digital payments made through Bilt earn rewards.
